Abstract

Abstract−The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in learning activities has become increasingly common; however, its utilization among students is often limited to obtaining instant answers without adequate understanding of instructional formulation or academic ethics. Based on preliminary observations at SMK Islamiyah Ciputat, students tend to use AI tools passively, which may hinder the development of critical thinking skills. This community service program aims to enhance students’ digital literacy by introducing productive AI tool utilization and providing training on effective prompt engineering techniques. The implementation methods included initial observation, development of a digital handbook (e-book), and interactive workshop sessions emphasizing hands-on practice. The results indicate an improvement in students’ ability to construct structured prompts, increased awareness of information validation, and a shift in perspective toward viewing AI as a learning support tool rather than a shortcut solution. The resulting e-book serves as a practical learning resource to support sustainable and adaptive educational practices in response to technological advancement.
