Abstract

Perkembangan media sosial di Indonesia telah menciptakan ekosistem komunikasi digital yang kompleks dengan lebih dari 139 juta pengguna aktif pada tahun 2024. Penelitian ini menganalisis dilema etika yang dihadapi pengguna media sosial di Indonesia, mencakup pertentangan antara privasi dan keterbukaan, kebebasan berekspresi dan tanggung jawab, serta fenomena cyberbullying dan hate speech. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan kajian literatur mendalam, penelitian menemukan bahwa dilema etika digital bersifat multidimensional dan saling terkait, dipengaruhi oleh faktor psikologis, sosial, budaya, dan teknologi. Pola perilaku pengguna seperti FOMO, mudah terprovokasi, dan rendahnya literasi digital menjadi faktor pendorong pelanggaran etika. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penanganan dilema etika digital memerlukan pendekatan terintegrasi yang melibatkan penguatan regulasi, literasi digital, serta desain platform yang bertanggung jawab.
